About Me

Struggling to lose weight? I was too!! For the longest time. I come from a family of physicians and all throughout my life, the only advice I would get was to eat less (sound familiar?).
If only it were that easy!!

This created a cycle of crash diets (which always failed) leading to self blame which in turn led to self blame and despondency. I even resigned myself to fate.

During my Internal Medicine training in India I reached my highest weight. Something in me changed. I realized, I needed to do something of I was headed for more trouble. I started my weight loss journey. I cleaned my diet up and started exercising which brought me immense success. I wanted to learn more about obesity. I happened to move to USA where I decided to pursue board certification in Obesity Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine. This has given me profound understanding of the disease of obesity.

I have realized that any weight loss journey first begins in the mind. There is little success to be had without the right mindset. This has led me to pursue life coaching.
